Local Author Event, Oct 4th & More

Come on out to the Columbia County Public Library in Evans this Saturday, October 4th.  I’ll be there from 11AM until 4PM for a local author event.  If you have print copies you would like me to sign, I’ll be happy to do so and I will have a few copies of books 1, 2 & 3 (and hopefully 4) for sale there as well.

This past week, Book 1 has been #1 in the FREE list on Amazon Christian Fantasy.  Books 2 & 3 have been as high as #2 and #3 respectively in the paid list of Christian Fantasy.  I’m also happy to say that Book 4 has been #1 on the Hot New Releases in Christian Fantasy.  It has also made it into the top 100 in paid Christian Fantasy as well.  I’m thankful for your support and hope you will continue to help me with word-of-mouth promotion.  These mean so much to me!

For those who were so patient for Book 4 to drop, I have good news.  I hope to get pre-orders set up for Book 5 e-book version very soon.  Book 4 was my ‘problem child’, but now that I’ve gotten it out, others will hopefully be released in a much more timely fashion.

Happy Reading!

Natalie

A First Time For Everything

It’s no big deal, really, but the other day I had a new experience since I started writing. Will and I were taking care of some business in town and when I handed the form with my name on it to the pretty young lady behind the counter, she read my name and asked: “Are you the author?” Well, I was taken slightly by surprise, but it felt awesome.

If you know me, you know I’m a pretty private person, but Will immediately suggested I give her one of my business cards. I don’t know what I’d do without him. He is my biggest supporter…always looking for ways draw attention to my books. I asked if she’d read my books and she told me that she had wanted to since she heard about my book signing at the local library. We completed our business and left, but it was a really great feeling for someone to see my name and recognize me in that way.

Happy New Year – Amazon Current Rank: 43,508 #CR4U

Wishing everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! My year seems to have started off with a small bang.
Will just checked and told me that as of this moment, my Amazon Author Current Rank is 43,508.
That may not seem like much, but it’s actually the BEST it’s ever been…and much better than
my lowest ranking of 425,629. I thank all of you who have taken advantage of my reduced e-book
pricing in the last couple of weeks. I hope to keep the prices this low for a while longer.

If you know someone who would like my books and have the capability of reading in e-book
format, please pass the word along. Let’s see how HIGH I can get 🙂

Please share, re-tweet, etc. You’ll notice the #CR4U tag above. This shows that I am a member
of a very supportive group of authors known as Clean Indie Reads. You can find out more about
the group and my book listing with them here:

Summer Update

Hello Nephilim fans!  Here’s an update of my recent activities.  I have finished writing Book 7 and had begun editing Book 4 when I couldn’t hold back the urge to begin writing Book 8.  Six chapters written, and still editing Book 4.  I hope to have it ready for you sometime this fall.

I also attended a meeting of Augusta area writers at The Book Tavern on Broad Street (where you can buy my books in print) last week.  It was a nice chance to talk to fellow writers and get some ideas and encouragement from each other.  I have posted a few pictures from the event on my MEDIA page.

Happy 4th

I wish everyone a Happy 4th of July.  Today I have the bittersweet news that I have finished the initial write of Book 7 in my Children of Angels series.  I’m happy to have completed the book, but now, I must return to begin editing Book 4.  As I’ve posted in the past, I know editing is important and required to give you, my readers, the best possible experience…but I do so miss the creativity of writing while I am editing.  Lots of new characters and new experiences coming in the next books.  Can’t wait to share them with you.

Positive Feedback

I don’t necessarily expect all of my feedback or reviews to be positive.  I know that what I’m writing may not appeal to everyone, but it’s always good for my morale to get the kind of verbal feedback I’ve gotten from several of my readers in the past couple of weeks.  Thank you all so much for that.  Please continue to, or consider beginning to, share my books with your friends, family and acquaintances.  I also appreciate any and all reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, Shelfari, Barnes & Noble, etc.  Even if you don’t wish to write a formal review, just giving a star rating is appreciated.

I’m looking forward to a relaxing spring break.  For me, relaxing means more than getting some rest and being away from my day job for a while.  It also means time to WRITE!  Writing while I’m working is a lot like having a second job except the writing has to take the back seat to pretty much everything else.  When I have time off, I get to write to my heart’s content.  I hope to get a good bit more of book 6 written as well as maybe some editing of book 4 done this week.  I know some of you are already anxious for book 4, but I fear I have a good bit of editing to do there and I learned not to make any promises about release dates with book 3.  I trust that your patience will be rewarded with a better book, even though it may take me some time to get it out.

While it is true the first 3 books do stand alone, I see more to Alex’s journey, thus the upcoming novels book 4, 5 & 6.  I also have a vision for the last scene of book 7, so there will be at least that many.  Hopefully this won’t be a spoiler, but I can give you a hint about what I’m writing now.  Alex learns that sometimes the past has great bearing on the present and the future and readers will see a little more of the past as we step back in time.  More details of Kronis before he came in contact with Arianna the first time will be revealed.

More To Come

Whew, I’m so glad to have finished editing for a while.  Getting Book 3 ready for print took so much of my time that I’m in in a serious deficit for good creative writing time.  My beta readers are currently proofing Book 4 but I think due to the way that book began it’s life it will take more editing than did Book 3, so for now I’m doing research for Book 6 which I’m currently in the middle of.  Yes, Book 5 is pretty much written.  There is more to come, dear friends.

Natalie.
