Children Of Angels Book 6: Now On Presale

Today I have to give huge thanks to my sweet hubby, Will, and to the talented cover artist Perry Elisabeth for helping to make the presale of The Choice To Survive, the 6th book in The Children of Angels series a reality.  Many of you have let me know that you are eagerly awaiting the next installment in Alex’s journey and I’m happy to say that it is now available for preorder in ALL ebook stores.  The official release date is September 1, 2015.

The Choice to Survive_fc_kdpThe cover of this novel was exciting for me for several reasons.  A new dimension in danger is introduced in this novel as large-scale battles are fought around the globe.  As Alex and her brethren meet the growing threat from the dark ones, the reader will see Alex come into her own.  She will learn more about her aura and how to adapt her power to the ever-changing threat.  I loved that Perry was able to incorporate the Colosseum and weave a human DNA strand into the immortal light surrounding the arena.  As you read the story you will understand the importance of these elements and I’m happy that she was able to make my vision a reality for you, the reader.

As always, many thanks to everyone for your enthusiastic support and excitement about my stories and characters.  I wish I could bring them to you more quickly but it does take time to write, edit, format, design the cover and make each the best book it can be for you.

Rohan’s Choice, Children of Angels Book 5: Available in Print NOW!

I know many of you have pre-ordered the e-book version of Rohan’s Choice, and I thank you all for that!  I don’t have an easy way to offer pre-orders for print books.  I do, however, have a bit of control over when the print version is available for purchase and so to try to get the print version out to non e-readers in a timely manner, I have released the print version for sale on Amazon.  Unfortunately it will probably take a couple more days at least to show up on other retailers, but starting now you may place your order on Amazon.com.  If Amazon isn’t showing it to you as yet, check the Books page for the link.  As always, you may purchase the print version directly from my Createspace e-store link and apply the 25% discount code shown on the Books page [https://nataliedwilson.com/my-books use code: N84C9T9L].  This will help offset shipping charges that you may incur unless you’re an Amazon Prime member and/or place enough of an order to otherwise get free shipping.

E-book pre-orders should go out on schedule (I hope) on February 1st.  Thanks again to everyone for your support.  I appreciate any feedback, star ratings and/or reviews on ALL 5 books.

Happy Reading!

Are services like Scribd and Oyster going to be like Netflix for Books?

I hadn’t given much thought to Scribd and Oyster until recently. If you are not familiar with these services, they have been compared to Netflix in that paying a monthly fee offers the subscriber the opportunity to read as many books as they like. Having my books on Smashwords brought these distribution options over the last few months. As part of their deal with Smashwords, I received a free year subscription to Scribd. Will and I downloaded the app and immediately searched to find my books there.

I can’t help but think this is a good thing for indies as each avenue that opens up for us to get more readers should help us to build a fan base. I do wonder, though, what this type of thing means for books/ebooks in general. As I understand it, an author gets paid if/when someone reads over a certain percentage of a book, doesn’t seem like a bad deal. Not much different than offering a free sample, or similar. Would you be willing to pay a monthly fee to read books? If you haven’t read my books, I know they are on Scribd, they are also supposed to be on Oyster. I think both services have a free trial. I’d love to hear your thoughts about such services and I would certainly be honored to hear your thoughts if you choose to try my books this way.

Happy Reading!
